Collecting your child
If your regular contact is unable to collect your child(ren) and you wish someone else who is not known to me, you must phone and provide information with which this person can easily be identified or supply them with an authorisation letter.
If this person doesn't satisfy me of their identity the child(ren) will NOT be released to them.
Child Protection
Childminders are well placed to assist local arrangements for protecting children from abuse. Childminders are aware of the signs which may indicate abuse, as well as know how to alert the investigating agencies. As a Childminder I have a legal responsibility to report suspected cases of possible abuse be it verbal, physical or mental.
If you suspect a child may be suffering abuse you can report your concerns to any of the agencies listed below:
If you are a young person or child and need help you can talk to someone in private at ChildLine. Don't be frightened they are very nice people and they want to help you.
