Access to Trampoline
NewsAccess to the trampoline for the children to use has been suspended for the time being.

A blackbird has taken up residence very close to the trampoline and is currently incubating her eggs.

As it's against the law to knowingly disrupt or disturb a nest, the trampoline will temporarily be unavailable for the children to use. It will come back into service once the chicks have hatched and fledged.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Maintenance May 2010
NewsNow spring/summer appears to have arrived along with warmer temperatures, I have undertaken the following maintenance:
Planted up some potted plants from last year which didn't make it into the front flower bed before the onset of the wintry weather.
Cleared winter debris from the rear garden and have jet washed the patio and decked areas. The patio and decked areas will soon be receiving their annual treatment to reduce the influence of the algae particularly on the decking. This is still an on going battle against the slippery surface when wet.
By the end of May the front lawn will also have a treatment on to feed and weed it so I shall let you know when that will happen so that you and your kids can stay clear of it.
I have constructed a replacement gate from the patio area which blocks off the steep hill at the back of the garden where the children are not allowed to venture.
I will as soon as possible, clean the outdoor toys so that the children can get out to play on the warmer dry days.

Maintenance Easter 2010
NewsOver the Easter holidays, I took advantage of any free I had to undertake much needed maintenance. This included redecorating the living room, kitchen, utility room and toilet. All the doors received several coats of paint as did the frames and skirting boards too. Since my family were stranded in the USA due to the ash cloud I used the time to also redecorate my bedroom.

Mobile Weather
NewsAs a result of the severe wintry weather we have recently experienced I have now implemented a Mobile webpage which you can access from your mobile phone.

The address is http://www.agfalkirk.co.uk/mobile/

Providing you have internet facility on your mobile phone you should be able to view this page. Information contained on this page provides details of the current weather conditions, road conditions and a basic weather forecast.

I do hope you will find this of use should the poor weather conditions return.

SCMA Buzz Xmas Fun Day
OutingsOn the 8th December myself and two little ones attended the Xmas Fun Day at the Buzz in Falkirk which was arranged by the Scottish Child Minding Association.
The kids enjoyed unlimited play in the Soft Play areas. The event looks like it was a great success and hopefully it will run again next year.
We had some very happy parents later in the day as the two little ones were shattered after all that running around.
Thank you SCMA

Cavity Wall Insulation
NewsA couple of weeks ago we had cavity wall insulation installed on the property and have found that the house is much warmer for longer. Thankfully, this was done before the cold snap of late and it has benefited not only us but all the minded children. I'd like to apologise for the noise and mess when this was being undertaken.
